The Food and Drug Administration approved Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. to market generic high blood pressure versions of Merk & Co. blockbuster drugs, Cozaar and Hyzaar, both known for active substance Losartan. The drugs, known generically as Losartan, were the second best selling product for the Whitehouse Station based company, that had sales of 2009 of 3.561 million dollars Teva, in fact, owns market exclusivity for 180 days for both drugs.
